The Center for Public Policy became a partner to a 6th Framework Programme of the European Union project – a 1 million EUR STREP (Strategic Targeted Research or Innovation Project) EUEREK – European Universities for Entrepreneurship – Their Role in the Europe of Knowledge, a seven-country comparative research project on academic entrepreneurialism, coordinated by Professors Michael Shattock and Gareth Williams of the Institute of Education, London, the UK (2004-2007). This project will look at the internal workings of universities, and how their respective national planning and funding arrangements affect them. It will seek to identify steps that can be taken to improve their effectiveness as knowledge producers and as knowledge transmitters in Europe today and in the future. Final report
